Grandmaster Hee Il Cho, a true legend in the martial arts community, is one of the most respected martial artist of our time. Grandmaster Cho has been inducted to every major martial art Hall of Fame and has shared his 50 years of knowledge with thousands of people around the world. Grandmaster Cho has students journey from all parts of the world to train and study with him. From Ireland to India and all throughout the United States and Canada, martial arts students travel several times each year to enhance their skills as a martial artist. Grandmaster Cho has also instructed some of Hollywood's biggest stars as well as co-starred in several motion pictures himself.

  • 9th Degree Tae Kwon Do Black Belt with over 40
    years teaching experience.
  • Featured in the following films: Fight to Win, Best
    of the Best, Bloodsport II and Bloodsport III.
  • Promoter of over 4,000 black belts and leader of
    over 100 seminars worldwide.
  • Champion of over 30 National and International
    Open Competitions.
  • He began training at the age of 10 in Korea.
  • He was motivated because he had beaten as
    a boy.
  • Received his Black Belt at the age of 13.
  • By age 21 he had achieved 4th Dan and was
    selected to train the Elite Special Forces of the
    Korean National Army.
  • He was also recruited to train the Special Forces
    Army of India.
  • He migrated to the U.S.A. in 1968.
  • In 1980 he founded Action International Martial Arts
    Association.
  • He has produced numerous instructional videos
    and books.
  • Grandmaster Hee ll cho has been in several Hollywood
    Movies and on over 70 magazine covers.
  • Black Belt Instructor of the Year.

GRANDMASTER PHILLIP AMERIS 8TH DEGREE

A.I.M.A.A TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

GrandMaster Philip Ameris is a 8th-Degree Black Belt with 38 years of experience in the martial arts. GrandMaster Ameris is Grand Master Hee Il Cho's senior student and technical director of the Action International Martial Arts Association. He has won numerous national and international championships and was the Captain of USA Taekwondo team for the 1988 World Championships.

MASTER JOHN DARCY 6TH DEGREE

A.I.M.A.A EUROPEAN DIRECTOR

Master John Darcy has been training for the past 30 years in Tae kwon Do. In 1995 Master Darcy introduced A.I.M.A.A to Ireland and since A.I.M.A.A started in Ireland, it has gone from strength to strength in the organisation and each member is taught how to train hard and motivate themselves and achieved their goals in A.I.M.A.A. Master Darcy is in constant contact with Grandmaster Hee Il Cho and this brings A.I.M.A.A Europe closer the AIMAA HQ, Hawaii.

MASTER PETER BYRNE 6TH DEGREE

A.I.M.A.A IRELAND REGIONAL DIRECTOR

Master Peter Byrne is the Regional Director of A.I.M.A.A Ireland and is the senior student of Master John Darcy.  Master Byrne is an exemplary Instructor and Tae Kwon Do practitioner, who specialises in one-step self defence.  Master Byrne frequently travels over 200 miles to train with Master John Darcy in Dublin, as well as attend National and International events.

MASTER JOHN KIRKWOOD 6TH DEGREE

A.I.M.A.A SCOTLAND DIRECTOR

At A.I.M.A.A Scotland HQ, you will find Master Kirkwood delivering the most advanced training system, six days a week.  As a fully qualified coach and martial artist, his professional credentials are the highest within A.I.M.A.A Scotland. Master Kirkwood has trained in the martial arts for over 37 years.

MASTER AMRIT KALCUTT 6TH DEGREE

A.I.M.A.A ENGLAND DIRECTOR

Master Amrit Kalcutt is the Regional Director of A.I.M.A.A England and runs West Midlands school of Taekwondo.  Master Kalcutt has been involved in the martial arts from the early 1980's and has over 30 Black Belts within his organisation in England.

A.I.M.A.A's newest Master is Master Michael Fitzgerald who is one of the Senior students of Master John Darcy. Master Fitzgerald has been training for many years in the martial arts and is a true ambassador of the A.I.M.A.A.
